Government selects American face recognition firm for GSA certification.
Airborne Biometrics Group, Inc., a technology development firm that focuses on turnkey face recognition software, announced today it has been awarded the U.S. Government Services Administration (GSA) IT 70 Schedule contract, contract number GS-35F-0351X for its product, FaceFirst™. This contract allows Airborne Biometrics Group, Inc. to provide face recognition software to government agencies.

The facial-recognition software, still called FaceFirst™, works using available "commodity technology," such as smart phones, digital cameras, web cameras or any video-capturing product. As long as the image has about 30 pixels of photographic information around the eyes of a subject, the web-based Face First will find the subject and match it to a database.
