Hesketh bristles at the idea that FaceFirst is cavalier about the ethics of facial recognition.  "We started our company because our goal is actually to improve people's lives and make the world a better place, "he says. "We have a very positive mission here." FaceFirst offers a tool that alerts landlords if a blacklisted person gets into a property, as well as one that can spot people a store has previously identified as shoplifters.
