The Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) has consistently been at the forefront of research on how retailers can prevent shoplifting, fraud and organized retail crime.

FaceFirst is once again proud to be a sponsor of LPRC IMPACT, a conference focused on helping retailers better leverage research and technology to prevent crime and retail violence. We’ve collaborated with LPRC on loss prevention research, and they provide an incredibly valuable service to the industry.

Our Retail Director, Mark Ebersbach, will be presenting a case study with one of our customers. Our customer, one of the nation’s largest grocery chains, will discuss how face recognition helped reduce external shrink, self-checkout fraud and in-store violence.

We’ll also be offering demonstrations of Sentinel-IQ, our next generation face recognition surveillance platform. Sentinel-IQ was specifically designed with the world’s largest retail chains in mind. Our system is the fastest, most accurate and scalable face recognition platform available for loss prevention professionals.

We’re always interested in exchanging insight and best practices with loss prevention leaders, technologists and anyone who shares our goal of reducing retail shrink and in-store violence. So if you’re headed to IMPACT, be sure to stop by the FaceFirst booth (#25) to hear about our latest research.

About LPRC IMPACT

The LPRC has developed the IMPACT Conference to help retailers and their solutions partners better employ research tools to assess the real-world impact their LP efforts have on sales, crime, and loss levels. This year’s theme is Science. Practice. Results. Our aim for this year’s conference is to deliver practical research, rooted in rigorous scientific research methods, to help your team succeed. We believe that a community centered around a scientific approach combined with academic insight will result in an enterprise selling more and losing less.
